    "Bladeless" means no metal blade is used to create the corneal flap. Instead, a femtosecond laser (like the ZEISS VisuMax 800) creates the flap with light pulses, offering more precision than manual instruments used in older techniques.

    Schwind Amaris is an excimer laser used for SURFACE treatment (also known as SmartSurfACE or Trans-PRK), which reshapes the cornea's surface directly, without any flap or incision into deeper corneal tissue.

    CentraLign is an AI-assisted alignment technology built into the ZEISS VisuMax 800 laser. It continuously adjusts for eye position and rotation during treatment, helping the laser stay precisely centered even if the eye moves slightly.

    A corneal flap (created in FS‑LASIK) is a thin layer of corneal tissue that is lifted, reshaped underneath, and repositioned. A lenticule (created in SMILE PRO) is a small piece of tissue removed entirely through a micro-incision, without lifting any flap.

    Both are established manufacturers of intraocular lenses used in RLE and cataract surgery. They offer different lens designs — including trifocal and extended-depth-of-focus (EDOF) options — and the right one for you depends on your visual needs, confirmed during your eye exam.
